Georgina laid to rest

SHE loved singing songs and dancing was always a part of her every activity.

This was what Twinkle Stars Pre-school Day Care Centre director Premina Jivaratnam remembered of Georgina Work as she delivered her eulogy at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Suva yesterday.

“Georgina was a very active and loving child,” Mrs Jivaratnam said.

“Her way of talking and expressing herself was very touching. It was a pleasure to have a child like her with us.”

Georgina spent three years at Twinkle Stars.

Her friends at the school honoured her with a guard of honour before she was escorted to the church.

“We cancelled school today in honour of Georgina. We wanted to give her a guard of honour because she has touched all our lives and she leaves behind so many friends.

“She will be in our hearts forever. I thank you Georgina that we the Twinkle Stars family became a part of your life’s journey. We will always be proud of her.”

Four-year-old Georgina died instantly when she was allegedly struck down by a four-wheel drive vehicle in Suva early this month after returning from church with her family.
