THE new partnership between online marketplace VitiKart and International shipping and logistics company DHL will be a game changer for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), boosting their ability to reach a wider customer base.
These businesses have often been held back by the complexities of international shipping especially through tricky customs, unreliable delivery and high costs of shipping, and the new partnership tackles those exact problems head on.
Vodafone Fiji’s online marketplace VitiKart and DHL launched their partnership in Suva yesterday – a collaboration that is set to elevate the e-commerce and logistics landscape for Fiji and the wider region.
Vodafone Fiji’s head of brands, marketing and digital Saleshni Chand said by integrating DHLs world-class shipping services directly into the VitiKart platform, they were offering convenience and efficiency to MSMEs.
“Imagine a local artisan in Suva shipping their handcrafted goods to Sydney with just a few clicks. This seamless process will save valuable time and resources, letting MSMEs focus on what they do best: creating high-quality products,” Ms Chand said.
“It’s a blend of seamless integration and efficiency.”
DHL Fiji and Pacific country manager Sarvesh Devan said they were pleased to come to an agreement with VitiKart after a year-long negotiation.
“We at DHL are present in a lot of countries, meaning we’ve got the reach. What this means for the MSMEs, we want to offer the solution for vendors and MSMEs in Fiji to be able to market their product abroad,” Mr Devan said.
He said their collaboration with VitiKart would take Fijian products to the world.
“DHL offers seamless process from pick up to delivery. We offer not only solutions but security for all your purchases and I am very glad that DHL and VitiKart is bringing this to shoppers and vendors in Fiji.”
The fixed agreement by the two parties is designed to ensure reliability, speed and security for international customers through DHLs global network and Viti Kart’s 116 live MSME vendors now anticipating reaching millions of potential customers worldwide.
