SPONSORS Coca-Cola Amatil will only cater for the expenses of respective teams who travel to Govind Park, Ba for the Coke Zero Deans semi -finals this week.
Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union development vice-president Biu Colati said sponsors would reimburse expenses incurred for the buses of the teams only.
“We are not going to cover any other expenses for support teams, it is just for the teams and management,” Colati said.
He added trying to secure the Govind Park as a venue was not easy.
“It is a requirement as stated in our constitution that we have to hold one of the finals in the West and that is the venue that the stakeholders in the West have been able to get for us.
“It was hard trying to get them (Fiji FA) to agree to let us use the grounds because it is primarily for soccer,” he said.
Colati said with renovations in progress at both Churchill Park and Prince Charles Park western secondary school rugby stakeholders had no other option thus Govind Park selection as the venue for the semi-finals.
“It is only fair that we have one of the finals in the West.
“All the schools might be travelling but it will be much closer for the fans of the western schools.
“For the western schools they have no other option but to call Govind Park their home ground at this stage,” he said.
