The Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) has announced a revised delivery cane price of $47.00 per tonne for the upcoming 2026 crushing season, representing a $5.00 per tonne increase for sugarcane growers.

In a press release issued tonight, the FSC stated that the new price will provide much-needed relief to farmers amid rising operational costs, particularly the increase in fuel prices.

“The Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited is pleased to announce a revised delivery cane price of $47.00 per tonne for the 2026 crushing season,” the statement read.

The price hike has been made possible through a government top-up of $12.56 per tonne, which forms part of the $85.00 per tonne guaranteed support package provided by the Government.

This adjustment is expected to ease some of the financial pressure on growers who have been grappling with higher input costs.
