Fijians have given Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka a stellar approval rating of 72 per cent, nearly seven months into the job. His three deputies – Manoa Kamikamica, Professor Biman Prasad and Viliame Gavoka – also fared well in a Tebbutt-Times Poll conducted between July 4 and 12, after the announcement of the 2023/2024 National Budget.

Inia Seruiratu also received positive approval ratings as Opposition Leader thus far.

That’s the big news on the front page of The Fiji Times for Saturday, July 22.

The second story on the front page is about Energy Fiji Limited making a profit of $58.1 million in 2022, according to the company’s CEO , Hasmukh Patel, in the EFL 2022 annual report that was tabled in Parliament on Friday.

Tebbutt Times Poll

We relaunch the Tebbutt Times Poll today after a break of several years.

Caz Tebbutt, the founder and Managing Director of Tebbutt Research says public opinion polling has an important role to play in democratic societies, enabling the opinions of the wider public to be heard.

The Tebbutt Times Poll began in 1992 and has given adults in Fiji a voice on many issues over its long history, covering political approval ratings, opinions on social and economic issues, current events of the day, and many other topical issues.

Stay with us and find out some interesting stats about issues Fijians can relate to. Don’t miss this! Get the stats from The Fiji Times and Tebbutt!
