LAUTOKA residents needing urgent medical eye care can visit the Pacific Eye Institute mobile eye clinic currently stationed at the Lautoka Hospital.
The mobile eye clinic is offering free eye surgeries for patients.
Pacific Institute Coordinator Jovesa Tikomailepanoni says the mobile clinic will be in Lautoka for two weeks.
“We do screening, we do refraction for glasses and we do eye surgery mainly for cataract and pterygium or any other minor eye surgery that needs to be done,” he said.
“All the patients first go to the eye department at the Lautoka Hospital and at the clinic if they see that the person needs surgery then they will refer that case to us.”
