Acting Commissioner of Police, Livai Driu said quick response resulted in the successful recapture of the four escapees.
The joint efforts was between the Fiii Police Force and the Fiji Correction Services.
” We received the report around last night around 09.00pm, and our Police Stations and Community Posts were informed,” he said.
“Roadblocks were activated around the Suva and Nausori corridor until this morning.”
The Acting Commissioner of Police said the four are still in police custody.
“We will process and charge them for escaping from lawful custody before we hand them back to the Correction Authorities.”
