Founders prop up Unity Fiji

UNITY Fiji’s latest financial disclosures show the party relied heavily on financial support from its founders to stay operational in 2025, with more than $24,000 advanced to the party during the year.

According to audited financial statements lodged with the Fijian Elections Office, the party recorded advances totalling $24,108 from key founding members as it battled mounting losses and liabilities.

The report revealed contributions included $8609 from party leader Savenaca Narube, $10,009 from party president Adi Sivia Qoro, and $5490 from founding member Kaliopate Tavola

Unity Fiji finished the year with total liabilities of $46,406 compared with assets of only $3599, leaving the party with a net deficit position of $42,807.

The party also recorded a deficit of $23,909 for the 2025 financial year after generating total income of $13,543 and spending $37,452 on operations.

Donations and fundraising remained the party’s main sources of income, while rent accounted for the largest operational expense at $19,200.

Other expenses included fundraising costs, meeting expenses, audit fees and general operational spending.

Unity Fiji’s financial statements were signed on March 30, 2026, by Adi Sivia and Mr Narube.
