The 2025 Nadi Business Forum held at the Tanoa International Hotel focused on the country’s emerging economic issues that local businesses have been faced with.

Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Dr Ram Raju said the event proved to be a success with local investors being given an insight into Fiji’s economic status.

One of the invited speakers, Minister of Finance Professor Biman Prasad, highlighted the importance of government’s ongoing collaboration with the private sector.

“The Coalition Government remains deeply committed to open dialogue and collaboration with all stakeholders, particularly the private sector, which we regard as a key partner in national development,” he said.

“Over the past two years, we have prioritised genuine and meaningful consultations.

“This began with the National Economic Summit and was followed by extensive nationwide engagement on the formulation of the National Development Plan (NDP).

“The NDP puts people at the centre of development and aspires to transform Fiji into a prosperous nation by 2050.”

This year’s theme was “Fiji’s Economic Preview — The Next Fiscal Budget and Beyond”.
