Former judge notes inadequate monitoring system

FORMER High Court judge John Connors says the inadequate monitoring in the judicial system has allowed judges to sit on decisions for months and, in some cases, years.

He made the comment while speaking at the Fiji Law Society’s 2018 Conference at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa at Natadola on Friday.

The former judge said this also made difficult to persuade litigants to go to mediation, instead of going to court.
