The Fiji National University (FNU) has deferred the Quarter 1 2024 exams to next week due to the adverse weather conditions which resulted in closure of campuses.
Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Jimaima Lako said the new dates for the Quarter 1, 2024 exams are April 8 to April 11, 2024.
“This would allow the students to prepare themselves and give their best in their exams,” Dr Lako said.
“This decision to defer exams underscores our commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
“By providing all students with adequate time to prepare after the recent campus closures, we ensure equitable opportunities for success.”
She said they acknowledged the disruption caused by the extreme weather and recognised the importance of providing students with adequate time to prepare for their exams.
“Due to the ongoing adverse weather conditions, the university strongly encourages all students to prioritise their health and well-being.
“Also, take the necessary precautions to stay warm and dry. Remember, your health is paramount to your academic success.”
