FMS: Little guidance for rain

With several parts of the Western Division experiencing dry conditions, the Fiji Meteorological Service states there is “little guidance” for rain in the month of September for the Western and Eastern divisions.

FMS states in its Fiji Climate Outlook from September 2022 to February 2023 that rain is likely to develop across Fiji from September onwards.

“Rainfall during September 2022 is likely to be near normal or above normal in the Northern and Central divisions, while there is little guidance for the Western and Eastern divisions,” states FMS.

“For September to November 2022 period, above normal rainfall is likely across the Fiji Group.

“During December 2022 to February 2023 period, above normal rainfall is likely across the Fiji Group.”

FMS states the air temperatures are likely to be above normal across the country during September to November period.
