The Flying Fijians let a 17-7 halftime advantage slip as Scotland produced a dominant second-half comeback to claim a 33-17 victory in their Nations Championship clash.
Scotland opened the scoring through Jonny Gray in the 13th minute before Fiji responded with three unanswered tries.
Captain Tevita Ikanivere crossed in the 15th minute, Selestino Ravutaumada added another three minutes later, and Elia Canakaivata extended the lead in the 33rd minute.
Fiji lead 17-7 at the break.
The match turned after halftime as Scotland took control of possession and territory.
Pierre Schoeman crashed over in the 53rd minute to reduce the deficit before Jamie Dobie scored in the 60th minute to put Scotland ahead for the first time since the opening stages.
Scott Cummings added another try in the 73rd minute before Dobie grabbed his second just two minutes later to seal an emphatic 33-17 victory.
Fiji’s task became more difficult after Lekima Tagitagivalu was shown a yellow card in the 25th minute, although the hosts defended resolutely to maintain their halftime advantage.
Scotland’s clinical second-half display, however, proved too much as they scored 26 unanswered points after the break to hand the Flying Fijians a disappointing defeat.
