Flight changes to Fiji Airways Wednesday schedule

Update: 6:00PM AN assessment by Fiji Airways that Nausori Airport, Suva, remains unsuitable for B737 aircraft operations has caused changes in a flight for tomorrow (Wednesday).

A statement from Fiji Airways said they were advising customers booked to travel from Suva to Auckland on FJ 433 tomorrow that they would now depart from the Nadi International Airport.

“As a consequence, customers booked on FJ 433 will be transported by bus to Nadi to board their flight to Auckland,” the statement said.

“Buses will depart Nausori Airport at 4am, with the flight for Auckland departing Nadi at 10am. All check in formalities will be completed at Nadi International Airport.”

The statement added that passengers flying from Auckland to Suva (FJ430 and FJ416) would now arrive at Nadi Airport and would be transported by road to Suva.

“Fiji Airways apologises for any convenience as a result of this disruption, which is beyond the airline’s control.

“Fiji Airways will continue to work with Airports Fiji Limited to reinstate B737 flights to Nausori as soon as possible,” the statement said.
