Five-year deal to support local culinary talent

FMF Foods Ltd yesterday signed a five-year agreement with Fiji Chefs Association in order to enable local chefs to showcase their skills and talents in the upcoming FMF Salon Culinaire 2022 in conjunction with HOTEC.

FMF Foods Ltd also launched their FMF Premix Range during the event held in Nadi.

“With the believe that the hospitality industry was bound to thrive soon, we wanted to create a pathway of success for the FMF brand in partnership with the industry players,” said FMF Foods Ltd general manager Anuj Patel.

He said FMF was part of Fiji’s food foundation and innovation was key to their growth.

“We believe in the growth of this industry, it’s people and there is no better way to express this innovation than to partner with Fiji Chefs Association.”

Mr Patel said the two day FMF Salon Culinaire 2022 that would be held on the 27 and 28 October at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort was set to attract over 300 participants.

“Just like rugby, we are next in line to produce culinary superstars that will be in demand worldwide. I urge all those from the culinary sector to participate or encourage young participants to showcase their talents.”

Fiji Chefs Association president Pranesh Goundar said it was a great opportunity for chefs in Fiji and they are very proud to partnering with FMF Foods Ltd for the next five years and HOTEC.

“The participants would eyeing for the three major categories- Chef of the Year, Junior Chef of the Year and Pastry Chef of the Year,” said Mr Goundar.
