HOT Bread Kitchen (HBK) announced five lucky winners for their “Dough-licious Deals” M-PAiSA Promotion at their Damodar Shop in Suva yesterday.
The promotion with M-PAiSA and HBK required customers to spend $10 or more using M-PAiSA QR code or electronic payment at any HBK outlet to get an automatic entry into the draw to win Galaxy tablets, Galaxy Buds 3 pro and $25 gift voucher for four individuals and the main prize being an iphone 16 Pro, Apple air pods pro, Apple air tag with a $50 gift voucher.
HBK business development general manager Upashna Ben said the promotion was one of the first exciting initiatives in collaboration with Vodafone.
“We started this promotion from March 5 ending April 30.
“The prizes were offered by Vodafone Fiji.
“When we were planning on what our promotion was going to be, we noticed that most of our customers opted to use M-PAiSA for payments and this all started from COVID.
“So we figured that most of our customers found it more convenient to transact through M-PAiSA and cashless transaction is good for the business as well.
“Then we decided to do a promotion together with M-PAiSA where we can actually attract more customers at the same time being more efficient and convenient,” Ms Ben told this newspaper.
Vodafone Fiji’s head of e-commerce Shailendra Prasad said the collaboration underscored Vodafone’s efforts in trying to promote digital payment, noting that working with HBK was a strategic move.
“Of Course M-PAiSA has been in market for a number of years, and we are trying to promote digital payments and one of the places where most transaction happen is at HBK.
“We wake up we get bread for breakfast and carrying cash in the morning can be a hassle and people especially kids tend to drop cash before they reach HBK to buy bread, so QR is the better option.
“We opted to work with HBK because they touch the lives of Fijians every day and this is probably one place where we can promote our M-PAiSA products,” Mr Prasad said.
Winners for the promotion were contacted for details of delivery and pickups for their prizes after the draw.
