In her debut campaign for the Fiji Bulikula, promising young five-eighth Losana Lutu is full of excitement and gratitude as she prepares to represent her country on home soil for the first time.
Speaking after the team’s first training session on Monday, Lutu shared her experience bonding with her teammates and her anticipation for the upcoming match on Saturday.
“Today was our first session, and everyone has been connected, you know having a laugh and all that kind of stuff,” Lutu said.
“It was good get out in the sun today and have our first film session.”
This match will mark a milestone for Lutu, who is et to play her first campaign at home.
“Yeah, this is my first time playing at home. It’s good to come out here and see all the families and the local people, its going to be really exciting’ she said.
Lutu’s family is also eager for the weekends clash, with many planning to be in the stands to support her.
“Yeah, my family is looking forward to the games. It’s just an honour and I am really grateful to be here,” she shared, expressing her excitement to take the field in front of her loved ones.
As the Bulikula prepares for the upcoming challenge, Lutu is soaking in the experience and savouring every moment.
“This is a function you don’t want to miss and I’m just really happy to be here,” she added.
The Fiji Bulikula will take on the Cook Islands in what is set to be a thrilling match at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva this Saturday, which fans are eagerly awaiting to see the team in action.
