Fiji 7s reps Joseva Talacolo and Filipe Sauturaga helped the Chennai Bulls claim the inaugural GMR Rugby Premier League 2025 title in India.

Ruthless in the final, the Bulls, coached by former Fiji 7s head coach Ben Gollings, dashed Delhi Redz 41-0 to scoop the title.

Lanky Namosi man, Talacolo scored one of their seven tries while Sauturaga was kept busy with conversions duty.

He was able to convert two of the seven tries while teammate Gaurav Kumar kicked one successfully.

Ireland’s Terry Kennedy and Vaafauese Maliko of Samoa were also in fine form for the Bulls.

They both scored a try with two assists, each leading up to a double to Mohammed Ashique and Shanawaz Ahmed.

Kennedy was named the Player of the Match.

Meanwhile, Joji Nasova, Terio Tamani and the Hyderabad Heroes edged Bengaluru Bravehearts 17-12 to settle for third place.

New Zealand’s Akuila Rokolisoa and Tone Ng Shiu featured for Bravehearts.
