Fiji has finally broken into one of New Zealand’s top bodybuilding competitions.
Reigning Mr Fiji Men’s Physique champion Jordan Pillay and Ms Bikini Model Fiji Jamie Lee Mitchell will be leaving for Auckland tomorrow to compete in this weekend’s Auckland Champs – Men’s Physique & Bikini Pro Qualifier 2022 event at the Sacred Heart College at Glendowie, Auckland.
“We are the first Fijians to break into this high-level competition and we are very excited to be representing Fiji in the event,” Pillay said.
“This is a professional event where high-level bodybuilders compete. This is a men’s physique and bikini professional qualifier 2022 event and we aim to do well to get into the next qualifying round.”
The event is part of the IFBB Pro League NZ which is an association dedicated to supporting bodybuilding, figure, and fitness in New Zealand and promoting a healthy enjoyable lifestyle for all ages.
The league provides competitions for New Zealand bodybuilders to be able to be granted IFBB Professional status to compete globally in events such as the Mr Olympia and the Arnold Classic.
