Canada’s women’s sevens team edged out the Fiji Airways Fijiana Sevens side 26-19 in a hard-fought battle at the Vancouver Sevens, securing fifth place.

Fiji started to gain momentum in the second half with strong tries from Mariana Talatoka and Adi Vani Buleki, but Canada’s early dominance set the pace.

Despite Fijiana’s spirited fightback, the home team held on to their lead.
