The Fijian Elections Office (FEO) has supervised elections of school head prefects at the Dilkusha Methodist High School.
This was part of efforts to support schools in conducting their prefect elections.
FEO states the elections were held under the FEO’s School Election Toolkit (SET).
“About 200 students from Years 11 to 13 participated in the democratic process to elect their Head Boy, Head Girl, and four Deputies,” said the FEO.
“The SET provides students with a hands-on voting experience, reinforcing the values of democracy, transparency, and leadership.”
“With actual ballot papers, voting booths, and voter rolls, students gain a deeper understanding of the importance of making informed choices and being responsible citizens.”
