The Fiji Airways Fiji men’s sevens team claimed the bronze medal at the HSBC Vancouver Sevens with a commanding 29-10 win over Australia.
Despite losing captain Jerremaia Matana to injury early in the match, Fiji dominated from the start with key tries from Terio Veilawa, Viuwa Naduvalo, and George Bose.
Australia fought back but couldn’t overcome Fiji’s strong defence and discipline.
Late tries from Nacani Boginisoko and Apete Narogo sealed the victory for the Osea Kolinisau-coached side.
