FIJI Rugby Football Union (FRFU) has secured a major sponsorship deal with Tappoo Pte Limited, naming the retail giant as its official distribution partner and sponsor for the next four years.

This information was released by the Fiji Rugby Union earlier this week.

Under the agreement, Tappoo will play a key role in distributing official Fiji Rugby merchandise while also providing financial backing to support the union’s operations and development programs.

Fiji Rugby chief executive Rovereto Nayacalevu said the partnership would enhance the accessibility and visibility of the Fiji Rugby brand.

“Tappoo’s partnership is a testament to the ongoing commitment to supporting Fiji Rugby and providing fans with access to official merchandise through their extensive retail networks,” Nayacalevu said.

Tappoo executive director Harnish Tappoo emphasised the company’s long-standing relationship with Fiji Rugby, highlighting their dedication to the sport and its supporters.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with Fiji Rugby Union, as we have in the past. This renewed and strong partnership reflects our commitment to supporting the people of Fiji and promoting a sport that embodies unity, passion and resilience,” he said.

As part of the sponsorship, the Tappoo logo will appear on the shorts of the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, Fiji Airways Fijian 7s and Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s teams for the next four years.

In addition, official Fiji Rugby Umbro merchandise is now exclusively available at Tappoo stores nationwide.

This partnership reinforces the shared vision of both organisations in strengthening rugby’s presence in Fiji while ensuring fans have greater access to official team gear.
