Fiji welcomed a record 98,522 visitors in June 2026, marking the highest number of arrivals ever recorded for the month of June.
According to provisional figures released by the Fiji Bureau of Statistics, visitor arrivals increased 15.4 per cent higher than the 85,405 arrivals recorded in May this year.
Of the total arrivals, 96,155 visitors entered Fiji by air, while 2,367 arrived by sea. Most sea arrivals were seamen on fishing vessels, with a further 620 arriving by yacht.
Holidaymakers continued to dominate visitor arrivals, accounting for 81 per cent of all visitors. Another 7.1 per cent travelled to visit friends and relatives, 2.3 per cent arrived for business, while 9.6 per cent visited Fiji for other reasons.
Australia remained Fiji’s largest tourism market, contributing 45,090 visitors, or 45.8 per cent of all arrivals.
New Zealand followed with 22,689 visitors, while the United States contributed 15,728.
China and Continental Europe each recorded just under 2,500 visitors, followed by Canada with 1,473 and the United Kingdom with 979.
Together, Fiji’s seven major source markets accounted for 92.3 per cent of all visitor arrivals during the month.
The Bureau also reported that 60.6 per cent of visitors were aged between 25 and 64 years, while children aged 14 years and under accounted for 15.8 per cent of arrivals.
Visitors aged 65 years and over made up 12.7 per cent, with 10.9 per cent aged between 15 and 24 years.
