Congratulatory messages for the Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and the new government continued to pour in.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, said India looked forward to working together.
“Congratulations on your election as the Prime Minister of Fiji,” Mr Modi tweeted.
“I look forward to working together to further strengthen the close and long-standing relations between India and Fiji.”
New Zealand Foreign Affairs Minister Nanaia Mahuta tweeted they are working together to continue strengthening their relationship.
“Congratulations to PA-NFP-SODELPA/ Sitiveni Rabuka on forming a coalition to lead the people,” Ms Mahuta tweeted.
“New Zealand looks forward to working together to continue strengthening our warm relationship.”
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese while congratulating Mr Rabuka tweeted Australia and Fiji were vuvale family.
“Congratulations to Mr Rabuka on his election as Prime Minister of Fiji,” Mr Albanese tweeted.
“Australia and Fiji are vuvale family. I look forward to strengthening our countries relationship even further in 2023.”
