THE Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) has officially announced that its mid-season player transfer window will open on Monday, June 16 and close on June 30.
This 16-day period will allow clubs across the country to process player transfers or apply for International Transfer Certificates (ITCs), confirmed Fiji FA’s player registration and transfer manager, Rohitesh Narayan.
Narayan stressed the importance of strictly following the required procedures during this limited transfer window.
“The application process remains the same, but this window is strictly confined to 16 days. Clubs and players must ensure all documentation is submitted within the time frame,” he said.
He reminded clubs that a player can only be transferred once per season, meaning any player who made a move during the January transfer window will not be eligible to transfer again during this mid-year period.
In terms of women’s football, Narayan clarified that transfers would be allowed only in genuine cases, and clubs must provide valid reasons for such requests.
The required documents for any transfer include the original district transfer certificate signed and approved by the district president and secretary and a completed player license form, signed by both the player and the district officials.
Narayan further warned that applications submitted on the last day of the window will still need to meet all documentation requirements. Incomplete or late submissions will not be accepted.
Fiji FA is urging all district affiliates to ensure compliance to avoid disappointment as the mid-season window is critical for clubs aiming to boost their squads ahead of the second half of the season.
