FIJI Airways Drua defeated Melbourne Rising 45-24 in round two of the National Rugby Championship in Australia last night.
Fiji scored first through Samuela Saqiwa four minutes into the first half and Peceli Nacebe kicked the conversion for a 7-0 lead.
Five minutes into the half, Melbourne Rising’s Nic Stirzaker scored a try with a successful conversion to tie scores, 7-7.
The Fijian players were determined and were rewarded with a try to Apete Daveta in the 20th minute. Nacebe’s kick failed for a 12-7 lead.
