Fiji Airways grounds one A330 over technical issue, multiple flights delayed

Fiji Airways states one of its A330 aircraft has been grounded due to “unforeseen technical issues”, that will cause delays in flights.

The airline said a replacement part has to be flown in from overseas.

Fiji Airways adds while every effort is being made to rectify the issue as quickly as possible, the aircraft will remain out of service until repairs are completed.

“As a result, some of our scheduled flights will experience delays, in certain cases, these may be significant,” said the airline.

“Our teams are in the process of notifying affected Guests, providing them with the revised departure times and any alternative arrangements that may be required.”

Delays for Saturday, July 5 2025 are as follows:

  • FJ411 – Nadi to Auckland
    Delayed by 3 hours 30 minutes
    Estimated Departure: 1:30pm local time | Estimated Arrival: 4:40pm local time
  • FJ410 – Auckland to Nadi
    Delayed by 3 hours 10 minutes
    Estimated Departure: 5:40pm local time | Estimated Arrival: 8:40pm local time
  • FJ255 – Nadi to Apia
    Delayed by 5 hours 40 minutes
    Estimated Departure: 6:35pm local time | Estimated Arrival: 9:30pm local time
  • FJ870 – Nadi to San Francisco
    Delayed by 8 hours
    Estimated Departure: 06:15am local time (Sunday, 06 July) | Estimated Arrival: 09.45pm (Saturday, 05 July) local time
