FIJI Airways flight FJ413 Nadi-Auckland service tonight had to return shortly after takeoff.
A statement issued by Fiji Airways minutes ago attributed this to mechanical issues with the aircraft.
It said the flight crew returned the aircraft to Nadi in the interest of safety.
The airline stated that guests would be accommodated in Nadi tonight and fly on other Fiji Airways services to Auckland tomorrow.
Further questions have been electronically mailed to Fiji Airways.
