Outgoing Tower Insurance executive director Veilawa Rereiwasaliwa has been appointed the new CEO of Merchant Finance Pte Limited.
Mr Rereiwasaliwa is no stranger to the banking industry having led markets within ANZ Fiji and key divisions in the Pacific, including as COO and GM Transformations.
In its market announcement released on the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX), the Fijian Holdings Group )FHL) stated Mr Rereiwasaliwa joined the business with an extensive background in transformational leadership; having delivered various business and strategic transformational results in his capacity as a leader within the Finance and Banking sector.
“Currently, as an executive director, he has led both Tower Group Services and Tower Insurance Fiji. At Tower Insurance, he has led the implementation of new customer experience initiatives within the region including self-service platform, online card payment facility, re-platform core insurance system and parametric insurance solution,” it stated.
Mr Rereiwasaliwa takes up office on January 8, 2024.
“We look forward to Veilawa joining the FHL family and his leadership in steering MFL into its new frontier of business,” it stated.
