Update: 5:24PM FELIX Anthony retained his position as the national secretary of the Fiji Trades Union Congress during their biennial conference in Nadi today.
The position was contested by the Fiji Public Service Association’s general secretary Rajeshwar Singh, with votes settling at 66 to 17 in favour of Mr Anthony.
Mr Singh had also moved a motion for the People’s Democratic Party, which was formed at a special FTUC delegates conference, to have its affiliation to the FTUC severed.
But the motion was defeated.
