The Fiji Cancer Society recently received a timely boost from The Hot Bread Kitchen a cheque of $8868, which will assist FCS in its cancer support efforts.

While acknowledging The Hot Bread Kitchen, Fiji Cancer Society clinical nurse Karolina Tamani said cancer is everybody’s business, as it is an enemy that tries to snatch our mothers, sisters, wives, uncles, fathers, and brothers from our families.

She said the funds given to the society from different donors are utilised to reach out to the people living with cancer, supply them with diapers, medicines, and basic care needs, and help them get their visa when they are required to travel overseas, mobility devices and transportation.

The Hot Bread Kitchen general manager and Business Development Sales and Marketing Upasna Ben stated the initiative was to assist the Cancer Society in providing patient support services and advocacy campaigns.

Meanwhile, Damodar Cinemas in conjunction with The Hot Bread Kitchen and Motibhai also hosted an event to raise funds on behalf of the Fiji Cancer Society at the Damodar Cinema Cine-lounge on Friday.
