Update: 12:35PM TAURANGA: A 69-YEAR-old Tauranga man has died following a crash on State Highway 29A overnight.
The crash happened at around 2.15am on the Maungatapu Bridge and involved two vehicles.
New Zealand Police said the SH29A at the bridge was closed for a time because of the crash but had since reopened.
The Serious Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
