Extra Supermarket’s Laucala Beach branch opened yesterday with great opening specials for shoppers.
This is the third supermarket for Extra, offering shoppers with the best possible shopping experience and quality items at affordable prices.
Among the shoppers yesterday were Benny Ravu and his mother who were impressed with the specials and the atmosphere in the supermarket.
“We have been hearing about the opening of this new Extra Supermarket and so we came today to check out the specials and to just see the various products that are on offer,” he said.
Mr Ravu who is from Raiwai, Suva said his mother was happy to see that grocery items such as rice and oil had great specials because these were some of the items that had increases in price at different supermarkets.
Extra Supermarket managing director Kavishay Abhimannu said the pandemic had been around for a long time now – more than 18 months and counting and in this period there had been increases in the price of certain grocery items such as oil and rice.
“However, these increases in price cannot be attributed to any one reason.
We continuously work to source goods at the best possible prices so that we can offer the best and most value for money deals to our customers.”
Mr Abhimannu said right from inception, their focus had been on providing the customers with the best possible shopping experience.
“To this end, our stores are all air-conditioned with adequate parking and a comfortable environment. However, the shopping experience is also about the range of quality products that are available and their reasonable pricing. We have been actively adding several internationally reputed brands to our portfolio so that we can bring quality products to our customers in Fiji. Today, we have many exclusive brands that we sell.”
Extra Laucala Beach opens from 7am to 9pm Monday to Thursday and from 6am to 9pm from Friday to Sunday.
