Expect traffic delays between Nausori and Suva city tomorrow morning as the King of Tonga and Queen will be escorted on this route in a motorcade.
A Fiji government advisory states while there will be no road closures, traffic disruptions will take place.
Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u are coming to Fiji to attend the installation ceremony for the Turaga Tui Nayau, Sau Ni Vanua Ko Lau and Tui Lau, Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara on Thursday.
In Suva tomorrow, at the State House a 100 men Guard of Honour will be accorded to King Tupou VI.
This will be followed by a traditional ceremony of welcome.
King Tupou VI will meet the President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu and will attend a State banquet tomorrow evening at the State House.
The Majesties will conclude their State Visit to Fiji and return to the Kingdom of Tonga on Saturday 12th July 2025.
