A heavy rain warning remains in force for the Northen division and a heavy rain alert remains in force for the Central and Eastern division and Yasawa group.
The Fiji Meteorological Service states a trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the Fiji group and associated cloud, rain and showers affects the Fiji group.
It is expected to gradually clear the group by later today.
For Northen division, there will be occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Rain will ease to showers by later today.
“Persistent heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.
In the Central Division (Suva, Nausori, Tailevu, Serua-Namosi, interior Serua-Namosi, Naitasiri), Eastern Division, Lomaiviti and Lau groups, expect occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
