ENJOY the park but please take care of it.
This was the message from Jojo Dena, the branch manager of Able Computing Suva, when he officially handed over the newly built children’s park at the My Suva Picnic Park to the Suva City Council yesterday.
The children’s park, which cost about $20,000, includes slides and swings and is made of plastic and protected by foam mats. All the facilities were brought in especially from Australia.
“This park is beautiful and safe for the children. We hope that they will enjoy it,” Mr Dena said.
“But at the same time we want to appeal to parents to look after their children while they use it. And to everyone, please look after it so that it lasts longer and future generations can enjoy it too.”
Mr Dena said they wanted to assist the council with the park as part of their community outreach program.
“It was our pleasure to assist the council with this. We have also built children’s park in Papua New Guinea so we enjoy helping the children as they are important to any country.”
