The passing of Vinod Patel is quite an emotional moment for the National Federation Party, a political party he has been a member of for the past six decades.
Delivering his eulogy in Ba, Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad said the late businessman believed in equality and justice and worked tirelessly to ensure the Indo-Fijian community remained fearless.
“Fair play and justice is what Mr Patel believed in,”Prof Biman said.
“His vision was for a harmonious Fiji where national interest is paramount.”
“He remained true to his principles and values to the NFP during its darkest years.”
Prof Biman said that the late Mr Patel remained an immovable member if the NFP and was a firm believer that the Party would one day rise in Parliament.
