While many youths began celebrating the new year, Escott Shield newcomers the Eastern Saints are sacrificing their holidays for the campaign ahead.
“We know many will be enjoying themselves during the holidays, but we have come together as a team and decided to work through the holidays for what will be a big year for us,” said Saints player Sakiusa Waqa at the National Fitness Centre today.
“Although we miss out on the fun, we know in the long run this will be worth more in the end.
The Eastern Saints is the 2020 Digicel Koroturaga Championship winner and advanced to the Escott Shield competition with Lomaiviti Green.
