Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s head coach Mosese Rauluni gears up for a challenging showdown against the Waratahs today.

Recognising the significance of the upcoming match, Rauluni underscores the importance of resilience and adaptability for his team.

“Very tough game, Waratahs are a form side going from trials in the last game so they put a few points onto a good Brumbies team so we better watch out they are playing with a lot of speed. “So our defence will be tested tomorrow,” Rauluni said.

With wet and muddy conditions expected because of heavy rain this week, the team has been honing their skills to handle the challenging playing surface.

During their captain’s run, particular emphasis was placed on mastering the handling of a slippery ball. Rauluni remains steadfast in his message to the team, emphasising the need for continuous improvement with each match.

“I told the girls that we will get better and better, how lucky it was to win against the Reds but there were a lot of areas that we have to work on.

“I was happy with the set pieces but we have to improve in all the areas, in every game we have to get better and better.”

Despite having no trial before their first match against the Reds, the Drua women proved their best.

“I was so proud of the girls after not having a trial, we had a scrimmaging against the high performance unit in Australia but not against the Australian team but I was really happy with their performance,” Rauluni added.
