AS the Fijian Drua sails into the Super Rugby Pacific competition, it will also be driven in a new set of cars to serve as the club’s fleet following a new partnership made with General Machinery & Motors Limited.
The company is the exclusive distributor of the global automotive brand Chery in Fiji and the club will have a fleet of Chery Tiggo 4 vehicles.
A rapidly growing automobile brand in the world, the Chery brand will now feature prominently around Fijian Drua home matches and on the playing jerseys of the Drua Women’s team.
Fijian Drua chief executive Jeff Miller welcomed the inclusion of General Machinery & Motors as a new partner and Chery as the official motor vehicle of the club.
“They are a great fantastic addition to our sponsor vuvale, with a long history and deep roots in Fiji,” Miller said.
General Machinery executive director Alvin Singh extended his appreciation to the club and mentioned how it was an honour for them to be part of the Drua family.
“The team has been amazing in accommodating us and providing Chery with the well-deserved exposure, allowing the brand to connect with the people of Fiji through one of the country’s most respected organisations and a fantastic team,” Singh added.
Miller expressed how the club looked forward to showcasing what the new fleet of vehicles had to offer.
“We have selected Chery Tiggo as our new Drua fleet and look forward to proudly showcasing all the qualities of these fantastic vehicles to our fans, partners and the community.”
“We thank the General Machinery & Motors team for their investment in the Fijian Drua, which allows us to continue investing in the players, our facilities and the club in general.”
