The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has named an impressive squad for their first-ever showdown against Rugby Football Club Los Angeles, marking a historic clash between a Super Rugby Pacific team and a US Major League Rugby side.

This match is set to feature 25 capped Flying Fijians, making it an exciting spectacle for rugby fans.

Drua Head Coach Glen Jackson has revealed a squad of 31 players, with the possibility of including some Drua Development players. The trial match serves as an important opportunity for players to stake their claim for a spot in the matchday 23 when the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season kicks off on February 15.

Among the rookies listed are Ponipate Loganimasi, Inia Tabuavou, Vuate Karawalevu, and Peni Ravai, alongside the returning Joseva Tamani. Jackson is expected to field a strong starting lineup, with Haereiti Hetet at loosehead prop, co-captain Tevita Ikanivere at hooker, and Samu Tawake at tight head prop.

In the second row, young Mesake Vocevoce will likely partner Leone Rotuisolia, while Tamani is set to start at blindside flanker, Kitione Salawa at openside, and Elia Canakaivata at number 8.

In the backline, Simi Kuruvoli is expected to start at scrumhalf, pairing with flyhalf Caleb Muntz. Loganimasi and Karawalevu are likely to start on the wings, with Kemu Valetini and competition standout Iosefo Masi in the centres. Young fullback Isikeli Rabitu is expected to round out the starting XV.
