Despite a decrease in the number of participating teams in the Nasinu Primary Schools Netball Association league, administrators are in high spirits for another successful season.

Last year, 10 schools were part of the league, featuring 54 teams in total from various grades.

While the same number of schools are competing this year, only 48 teams have been registered.

“The turnout is still good and we are looking forward to take part in the Inter-District Championship in Nadi,” association president Asenaca Chambers stated.

“Eventhough we have less teams taking part, Nasinu is still confident and we will continue to play our part with weekly competitions and choose our teams.”

Yesterday marked the first week of competition for Nasinu schools this season.

St John’s Primary School from Wailoku is the new inclusion this year.

Nasinu and Fiji Pearls veteran Alesi Waqa-Paul officiated the opening ceremony as the chief guest.
