The vanua of Saru will celebrate the Fiji National Rugby League Vodafone Super 8 victory on Friday in Saru Village, Lautoka.

This was revealed by Dragons head coach Netava Rokoliwa.

“We want to thank the supporters both here and abroad and the vanua of Saru for their support and guidance towards the team,” he said.

In acknowledging the players for the win, Rokoliwa said an awards night was also planned on December 8.

“We want to also thank the families of our players for always supporting them and the sacrifices made by them for the team.”

The Dragons dethroned defending champions Nadera Panthers 10-8 in the grand-final at Albert Park in Suva in the weekend.
