THE Fiji Hindu Society celebrated Diwali with a vibrant cultural program at Kshatriya Hall in Suva on Saturday, bringing together members of the Hindu community and distinguished guests.
The event was attended by Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Suneet Mehta, who highlighted Diwali’s values of peace, prosperity and togetherness.
Society president Sumanta Rout said the festival was an opportunity to spread kindness and help those in need.
The society announced plans to provide solar lighting to the homes of up to five needy families as part of its community outreach initiative.
