This year’s primary school inter-district championship has been marked by an impressive display of skills and talent, says the Fiji Primary School Football Association president Dinamani Mudaliar.

Mudaliar said the level of play had significantly improved, leading to nail-biting finishes, and closely contested games.

“If you look at the scorelines, there’s not much margin,” stated the IDC president. “Most matches have ended with scores like 2-1 or even draws,” he said.

In an interview, he said, this indicated that the competition was tougher than before.

“In previous years, larger teams often dominated, but this season has seen unexpected draws and narrow victories, suggesting that the gap between the top teams and their rivals is narrowing.”

He called on fans and supporters to come out in numbers today to support their team.
