The Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO), Elizabeth Dibble has praised Fijian soldiers MFO.
The Multinational Force and Observers is an international peacekeeping force overseeing the terms of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.
She met Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), Major General Jone Kalouniwai, at the RFMF Strategic Headquarters at Berkeley Crescent yesterday.
“I have been the Director General for almost three years now, and I have seen successive Fijian contingents serving with excellence under the MFO banner,” she said.
“The professionalism and dedication of RFMF personnel have been outstanding.”
Ms Dibble also commended Fiji’s contributions to peace in the Middle East since 1982, highlighting that Fiji was among the original MFO contributors and has remained steadfast in maintaining peace between Egypt and Israel.
Ms Dibble became the Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers on 1 August 2022.
