TAMBUA Restaurant offers a casual yet refined dining experience that reflects the spirit of the Coral Coast.

With its relaxed beachfront setting, the restaurant invites guests to enjoy freshly prepared Fijian cuisine and local seafood while taking in views of the ocean and swaying palms.

A thoughtfully curated menu features regional flavours and refreshing beverages.

The restaurant is open from 6:30am to 10pm.

Tambua Sands Beach Resort manager Angela Bob said the cuisine prepared by their local experienced chefs were made with love.

“The cuisine they (chefs) make is excellent for our locals; they know the flavour and ingredients to use,” she said.

“This is an adults-only resort and caters for the upmarket and it’s basically an island feel on the mainland. “And the icing on the cake is all our staffs here are 100% local, and they are from the nearby communities in Nadroga.”

According to Ms Bob the resort grows its food locally and relies on ingredients directly harvested from its own farm.

“We have our garden and when we need vegetables we are getting it from our own farm.

“So, we promote our resort as being an eco-environment friendly as well.

“And of course the ocean is right in front of us and the local chefs are making Fijian cuisine which our international guests are loving — vakalolo, freshwater mussels in coconut cream milk which is hardly ever on the menu, but we give it here and they are loving the local flavours.”

She said the chefs have been creative in designing a new menu on a daily basis which was not advertised on their main menu.

“I give the chefs the opportunity to come up with ideas of what they can give to our guests apart from the menu.

“There is a board in the restaurant where our chefs will setup a menu, they have created themselves and guests can get to dine in it and taste the food.

“It’s not in the menu and guests have not seen it but our chefs will just create and put it on the board for guests to have and that is their creativity bit on a daily basis for lunch and dinner.”

The intimate adults-only resort on the stretch of the Coral Coast features just 25 private villas, offering space, privacy, and a truly personal atmosphere.

Set among tropical gardens or along the beachfront, each villa blends natural charm with comfort, opening to serene ocean views and the soothing sounds of the Pacific. Days unfold gently—whether exploring coral reefs, walking the shoreline, or simply unwinding in nature.

Each of the 25 bure is thoughtfully positioned to frame either lush garden landscapes or uninterrupted ocean views, inviting guests to unwind in complete seclusion.

Inside, natural materials and island-inspired details create a sense of relaxed elegance.

From spacious bathrooms and soft ceiling fans to private verandas that catch the breeze, every element is designed for quiet comfort.

Select beachfront villas feature personal plunge pools, perfect for a secluded moment under the sun.

Amenities include tea and coffee facilities, a mini refrigerator, room service, and the tranquil rhythm of Fiji’s Coral Coast just beyond the door.

Ms Bob added the resort’s adults-only swimming pool will have a new furnished sun-drenched outdoor decking for guests as part of its upcoming projects.
