Update: 4:01PM GOVERNMENT has issued a 12-year pay television licence to Digicel Fiji.
Communications Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the licence was issued yesterday.
Mr
Sayed-Khaiyum said the company was issued with a broadcasting licence, a
spectrum licence and a special licence to operate Sky Pacific.
He said local advertisements and contents would not be allowed on
Sky Pacific.
The company
also has to comply with the new digitisation process.
