Hundreds of Hindu devotees gathered at My Suva Park in Nasese, Suva, last Saturday to mark Ganesh Visarjan, the concluding day of the 10-day Ganesh Utsav festival.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, emphasised that Lord Ganesh symbolises wisdom, prosperity, and the remover of life’s obstacles.
He also highlighted that the festival fosters unity, providing a moment to reflect on Fiji’s history, culture, and traditions.
Prof Prasad acknowledged the Fiji Sevashram Sangha and all involved with its activities.
The event was celebrated with deep devotion as families and communities united in prayers, bhajan, and the final immersion ceremony, bidding a heartfelt farewell to Lord Ganesh.
